Yum. Do they grow noisettes near you?
Hello,
I'm simply writing because I was searching for a full score of Les Boreades on-line, and this site popped up. Naturally I was intrigued by the line that came up in the search engine 'I studied the Rameau score with the help of my i-Pod' or words to that effect. Anyhow, I'm here in New York and I was thrilled to see that you were involved in a production of Les Boreades as late as this past summer. From the little I read (the bit about Paul Agnew) it seems this is with Les Arts Florrisants, or am I wrong? I wonder whether you'd know of a store/publisher in France from whom I could purchase a full score direct.. But whatever the case it was interesting finding your little journal.

hi hector. I get the impression that one of the reasons boreades is rarely played is that it is incredibly expensive and difficult to hire the music....but us folk in the pit don't know much about it, I'm afraid.
The group was the concert d'astree and we just played much Rameau in Alice Tully Hall in July. shame you couldn't be there!

You referred to being in the Concert d'Astree (which I didn't know), and yes I did see you this past July at Alice Tully Hall! I had gotten tickets months in advance when I first saw the concert advertised, with so much Rameau in the programme and with such a masterful ensemble. I was particularly glad that Les Savauges was chosen for the encore -- a great moment in Les Indes Galantes and a great rendition in the concert with the continuo playing pizz. first.
Anyway, I thought you never responded to my first message since I never got a reply e-mail. But I revisited your blog to-day and saw you did respond... oh well.
